Role Overview & Key Responsibilities

Role Overview

You will work on creating 3d environment props and assets for a live game. The 3D Artist needs to be able to successfully produce any type of environmental art assets assigned to them and deliver them to defined deadlines. Quickly adapt to new art styles and any technical requirements and pipelines. Be diligent in delivering the quality following art guidelines and style from the Lead Artist and Art Director, and also be efficient in following the production schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce models and textures of 3D environment, Props, objects, and scenes for the game engine
  • Understand and follow the art requirements and the specific needs of the project
  • Promptly learn any new tools or techniques
  • Execute tasks assigned to them according to the project schedule while meeting quality expectations
  • Using Checklists to perform initial art and technical quality checks before sending art assets to the Team Leader for review
  • Fix all problems noted by the Team Leader and Art Director
  • Promptly report to the Team Leader about any difficulties encountered
  • Support Junior Artists, helping them to deal with tasks when needed

Required Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Strong portfolio showing examples of 3D props and environment examples
  • Excellent 3D experience in one or more software, Blender, 3D Studio Max, Maya, Softimage
  • Good knowledge of Photoshop and texture creation
  • Good basic art skills in art fundamentals (color composition and form)
  • Passionate about games
  • Unity experience is a plus
