The VP of Marketing is a pivotal leadership role at Whalo Games, responsible for building and executing the company’s full marketing strategy and scaling our marketing organization. You will own the complete growth agenda across Performance Marketing, Creative Marketing, Brand, Product Marketing initiatives, and cross-functional go-to-market alignment, ensuring Whalo’s games reach and retain millions of players globally.

Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Growth Leadership
- Strategy & Budgeting: Own the global marketing strategy and budget, accountable for measurable growth (users, revenue, ROAS, LTV) and strategic planning.
- System Building: Build the "growth system" across UA, creative, and data analysis to establish scalable playbooks.
- Channel Strategy: Lead paid marketing strategy across key channels (Meta, Google, TikTok, DSPs), managing spend allocation and KPIs.
- Team Enablement: Coach the Performance Marketing team to ensure high-quality execution and constant innovation.
- Creative Function: Build and lead the creative function, partnering with teams to crack top-performing concepts and high-impact assets.
- Testing & Insights: Establish best practices for creative testing frameworks and performance-driven iteration loops.
- Brand Strategy: Own brand and social strategy to strengthen engagement, broaden reach, and support UA outcomes.
- Organic Initiatives: Lead ASO, community building, and creator partnerships to ensure a consistent, player-first market presence.
- Product Alignment: Partner with Product and LiveOps to align marketing strategy with in-game features and content calendars.
- Journey Optimization: Collaborate with BI and Monetization teams to optimize the full player journey.
- Infrastructure: Partner with Data teams to develop efficient reporting, dashboards, and decision-making frameworks.
- Measurement Strategy: Lead experimentation, incrementality frameworks, and attribution strategy to ensure tracking accuracy.
- Org Development: Build, hire, and mentor a high-performing organization across Performance, Creative, Brand, and Data.
- Culture: Create a culture defined by high ownership, speed, creativity, and analytics.
- 10+ years in marketing, including leadership roles in mobile gaming or performance-driven consumer apps.
- Proven experience owning multi-million dollar marketing budgets and scaling growth across multiple channels.
- Hands-on understanding of performance marketing platforms and creative performance frameworks.
- Strong team leadership experience (hiring, mentoring, org-building).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
