  • Tel-Aviv
  • Full-time

Description

Are you passionate about pushing the boundaries of technology?

Do you thrive on solving complex problems and turning innovative ideas into reality?

We are seeking an exceptional Robotics Perception & AI Engineer to join our team and help develop groundbreaking technology for next-generation ground and flying robotic platforms (with an immediate focus on quadcopter drones).

Our mission is to advance man-machine teaming by developing robust perception and intelligent system capabilities that improve the effectiveness, awareness, and performance of robotic platforms in real-world environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive innovation and take initiative by developing state-of-the-art perception, computer vision, and AI solutions for complex real-world robotics challenges.
  • Take ideas from problem formulation through design, development, integration, and deployment on production platforms, with end-to-end ownership over solutions.
  • Contribute to the development and optimization of production-grade software for edge devices, adhering to high standards of performance, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Build capabilities across the perception stack, including detection, tracking, scene understanding, image/video processing, geometry-based methods, and learning-based approaches.
  • Contribute to intelligent system capabilities for operator assistance and human-in-the-loop robotics, including multimodal understanding, agentic behaviors, decision support, and task-oriented robotic behaviors.
  • Work closely with adjacent teams, including Platform and GNC, in areas where system responsibilities intersect.
  • Create professional-grade documentation to effectively communicate solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in computer vision, perception, and/or AI development for real-world systems.
  • Strong programming skills and the ability to design, implement, debug, and maintain production-quality software.
  • Experience with industry-standard AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
  • Solid understanding of 3D math used in robotics and computer vision, including coordinate frames, transforms/rotations, and camera projection concepts.
  • Good grasp of classical computer vision and image processing.
  • Ability to work effectively in Linux-based development environments and collaborate in shared codebases using standard engineering tools and workflows.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant STEM field.
  • Strong technical writing skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications / Strong Advantages

  • Advanced STEM degree.
  • C++ experience is a strong advantage, especially for production and edge-device development.
  • Motivation and ability to learn and contribute to production and edge robotics codebases are highly valued.
  • Exposure to multimodal and agentic AI, operator-assistance, decision-support, or human-in-the-loop robotic systems is a plus.
  • Experience with robotics/AI tools and frameworks such as ROS2, OpenCV, CUDA, TensorRT, ONNX, CMake, Git, and related tooling.
  • Experience with edge / embedded / real-time systems is a strong advantage.
