What you’ll do:


• Minimum 5 years of experience in any software defined technology.

• Hands on experience in setting up, configuring, and deploying Ceph storage systems.

• Certification on Ceph Certified Storage Administrator

Good to have

• Development and testing new features and versions of CEPH

• Development of automations to improve efficiency and quality of the CEPH

• Experience in test driven development CI/CD pipelines and Python

• Advanced experience in Linux administration and large setups

• Advanced hands-on knowledge in at least some of the solutions used in the cloud platforms such as OpenStack and CEPH

• Advanced Experience in automation tools like Ansible, Puppet and Terraform

• Experience on Kubernetes is appreciated

Technical Skills:

• Deployment knowledge by using rook ceph, open stack helm on top of Kubernetes.

• Need to know on Pool creation & RBD creation and authorization for client.

• Accessing RBD from client troubleshooting access issues with RBD.

• Ceph FS Creation and accessing share for network clients.

• Creating RADOSGW user for S3 object storage

• Strong knowledge of k8s and specially setting up pv and pvc backed by ceph

• Strong knowledge of open stack projects like cinder and glance, specially integrating ceph as backend.

• Strong experience in scripting (Python/Bash/helm/etc)

• Familiarity with automation tools (Puppet/Ansible/Chef/etc)

• Virtualization and container technologies (KVM/VMWare/Docker/OpenStack/kubernetes)

• Fluent in Linux (CentOS/Debian/Ubuntu/suse)

• Will be responsible for designing, installation, configuration and Maintenance of the Ceph Infrastructure and ensuring the availability and performance of Ceph Infrastructure.

• Working with Application team on Performance of Ceph storage and any performance, latency or application related issues reported.
