This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2-3 days per week from an HPE office.

Job Description:

Management Services provides remote (offsite) services including Monitoring, Administration and Operations for customers, who add GMS on top of a Datacenter Care agreement. This team is part of the Customer Solution Center. We are looking for a Compute Subject Matter Expert to become part of our team.

Education and Experience Required:

  • First Level University degree: a) technical, b) non-technical (i.e., Bachelor of Arts/ Science). Typically, 3-4 year completion beyond High School level, BA/BS or equivalent experience.
  • 5-7 years’ experience in relevant technologies and customer environments.
  • Advanced English Level.
  • Sys Admin Experience

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience and knowledge of servers and administration tools
  • Good knowledge of Linux and Windows
  • Knowledge of VMware (Server virtualization, VCenter)
  • Advanced Software and hardware knowledge of computing, storage and peripheral devices.
  • Good knowledge of cloud computing (AZURE, AWS)
  • Experience with Patch Management Process
  • Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, SCCM, WSUS
  • Proficiency in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network environments, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
  • In-depth understanding of network protocols, IP addressing, subnetting, and routing.
  • Experience with network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and virtual private networks (VPNs).
  • Familiarity with cloud networking technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure) and virtualization (e.g., VMware).

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in language to be supported.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills in a technical environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Superior customer service skills.
  • Phone and remote support experience. E-support experience, knowledge and resolution ability.
  • Ability to solve and document solutions for usage of other technicians and customers.
  • Ability to mentor new agents.
  • Ability train peers on solutions.
  • Ability to take full ownership for resolution with escalated customers.
  • Ability to lead technical action plans.
  • Lead or provide expertise to teams or projects.
  • Highly Developed knowledge of more complex solutions.

Is a plus:

  • Intermediate-Advanced Portuguese
  • Expert knowledge of HPE Compute systems
  • VMware NSX
  • Specific knowledge and training with the company's products. Knowledge of multiple product lines (for example, proactive, reactive, storage, enterprise systems, tier 2 or 3 support, etc.)
  • Knowledge of NonStop Servers
  • Knowledge of Dockers, Kubernetes, Bluedata (Containers)
  • Advanced proficiency with case management databases and tools.
  • ITIL Knowledge / Certification is desired
  • General Knowledge of Monitoring Tools (SolarWinds, Nagios, ServiceNow, ITSM)
  • Technology Certifications of above technologies
