Senior Datacenter Consultant

This role has been designed as ‘’Onsite’ with an expectation that you will primarily work from an HPE partner/customer office.

Job Description:

HPE is seeking a Senior Datacenter Consultant with Project Management skills.


On this role, you will need to have an excellent understanding of datacenter infrastructure and the ability to work in an Agile environment collaborating with Sales, Architects, Partners and the customers’ Developers, Testers, and Analysts. You will get to work in a collaborative environment that values your insight, encourages you to take on new responsibilities, promotes continuous learning, and rewards innovation.

This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills, as well as working knowledge of datacenter hardware and software. You will also contribute in delivery of the technical activities in the projects.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee the implementation of infrastructure projects

  • Develop project plans and timelines

  • Take ownership of the customer engagements and manage small teams of engineers

  • Identify and manage project risks

  • Monitor progress of projects and report on results

  • Ensure projects are completed in accordance with quality standards

  • Interact with both internal and external stakeholders during all project phases

  • Be mindful of customer needs and clearly communicate complex information

  • Ensure projects are completed in accordance with quality standards

Qualifications:

  • Good project management and leadership skills

  • Ability to manage smaller projects from inception to completion

  • Good knowledge of datacenter IT infrastructure.

  • Understand current technologies and trends related to Linux-based computing and private/hybrid cloud.

  • Experience working in large, complex, enterprise datacenter environments

  • Expertise in data migration methods

  • Expertise in Virtualization technologies such as KVM, VMWare ESXi.

  • Hands on experience of IT infrastructure such as storage, compute, and network

  • Hands on experience of VMware based platforms and technologies

  • Hands on experience of Linux-based platforms and technologies

  • Strong foundational knowledge of networking models and technologies including Ethernet, IP, VLANs, routing, bridging

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently

  • Native in Swedish and fluent in English languages (in writing and speaking) are a must for this position.

Desired Skills & Experience which will be considered a plus:

  • Working Experience with HPE datacenter infrastructure products (compute, storage)

  • VMware Certified Professional (VCP) Certification

  • Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification

  • Red Hat Certified Specialist (RHCS) in OpenShift Administration certification

  • Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA) certification

  • Experience in HPC and AI/ML related technology

  • Experience in Cloud Platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP
