Job Description:
HPE Services is our innovative IT services organization. It provides the expertise to advise, integrate, and accelerate our customers’ outcomes from their digital transformation – giving clients the most effective solutions for a fast-paced, modern business along with the expertise to achieve maximum business benefit, and to deliver better experiences.
What you’ll do:
As a Cohesity engineer, your primary responsibility will be to provide advanced technical support and consulting services to Cohesity customers for complex and critical issues related to Cohesity products such as DataProtect, DataPlatform, Helios and DataManagement.
Technical Skills:
- Data management: Understanding of data management concepts, including backup and recovery, replication, archiving, and data retention policies.
- Storage technologies: Familiarity with storage technologies, including SAN, NAS, DAS, object storage, and cloud-based storage solutions.
- Virtualization: Experience working with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, and KVM.
- Cloud technologies: Understanding of cloud computing concepts and experience working with cloud-based storage and backup solutions, such as AWS S3, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud.
- Networking: Understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, routing, switching, and firewall configuration.
- Operating systems: Familiarity with operating systems, including Linux and Windows Server.
- Backup and recovery software: Experience working with backup and recovery software, such as Cohesity DataProtect, Commvault, Veeam, and Rubrik.
- Scripting and automation: Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell, and experience with automation tools such as Ansible and Puppet.
- Database management: Understanding of database management concepts, including backup and recovery, replication, and performance tuning.
- Security: Knowledge of security best practices and familiarity with security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software.
- Strong knowledge of storage technologies, including SAN, NAS, and object storage.
- Experience with backup and recovery technologies, including Cohesity.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills on DataProtect, DataPlatform, Helios and DataManagement related issues.
- Performing regular backup and recovery tests to ensure that backups can be successfully restored in the event of a disaster.
- Developing and implementing backup policies and procedures to ensure that data is backed up in a consistent and secure manner.
- Providing guidance and support to other IT teams and end-users on backup and recovery processes.

Certification:
- ITIL
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
- Cohesity Certified Specialist Exam
- AWS/Azure any Public Cloud certificate.
