This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2-3 days per week from an HPE office.

What you’ll do:

Then we have the right opportunity—we are looking for a SAP Functional Architect within HPE IT’s Enterprise Architecture team to join us! In this exciting role you will be part of a strong team in Global IT to provide technical expertise for business solutions supporting multiple groups. There are four primary areas of responsibilities:

Enterprise Architecture Leadership

  • Become an Architecture Leader: Develop best practices, technology standards, and design patterns that empower our architecture community
  • Champion Innovation: Evaluate new technologies and platforms through the creation of proof-of-concepts
  • Safeguard Our Systems: Proactively identify and address potential architecture vulnerabilities
  • Design for the Future: Develop and maintain a robust technical platform architecture to meet current and future needs
  • Provide Expert Governance: Contribute your architectural expertise on the Architecture Review Board

Craft the Enterprise Architecture Strategy

  • Strategize for Success: Develop multi-year architecture roadmaps for key areas like business systems, data & analytics, and IT infrastructure
  • Navigate the Market: Research and analyze IT offerings, assessing product maturity and capabilities
  • Align Initiatives: Collaborate with business and IT teams to ensure initiatives align with the overall architecture roadmap

Deliver Exceptional Architecture Solutions

  • Lead the Way: Lead and design end-to-end architecture for complex, cross-functional projects
  • Embrace a Holistic Approach: Develop comprehensive architecture across business, platform, data, and infrastructure domains
  • Foster Collaboration: Partner effectively with fellow architects and project members to achieve successful delivery
  • Drive Project Success: Ensure project execution aligns with established technology and architecture standards.

Build Strong Relationships and Cultivate Innovation

  • Collaborate for Success: Work closely with other architects to develop and maintain a unified architecture
  • Communicate with Clarity: Effectively communicate architecture concepts to both IT and business leaders
  • Embrace Diverse Perspectives: Champion an open and inclusive environment to drive continuous improvement

What you need to bring:

Education and Experience Required:

  • Industry experience - Minimum 10 - 15 years
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience

How you’ll make your mark:

  • Leverage 10+ years of progressive SAP experience: Demonstrate a proven track record working preferably in FI, CO, SD, and SAP BRIM (Subscription Order Management, Convergent Charging, Invoicing & Mediation, Revenue Accounting & Reporting, Entitlement Management, etc.) and Supply Chain related modules. Strong understanding and hands-on experience in SAP configuration, customization, and integration, preferably in a systems integration or architect role
  • Architect the Future: Utilize your in-depth knowledge of SAP configuration, customization, and integration to design and implement robust financial systems
  • Embrace the Latest Technologies: Be proficient in S/4, SAP Fiori, and other cutting-edge SAP technologies
  • Proven Consulting Expertise: Lead successful system implementation projects, drawing upon your functional consulting experience
  • Financial Acumen: Possess a strong understanding of financial and accounting processes, including SOX compliance
  • Problem-Solving Prowess: Demonstrate a creative and analytical approach to problem-solving
  • Technical Expertise: Expertly analyze requirements, create system specifications, develop tests, and implement solutions using SAP technologies
  • ABAP & HANA Master: Have a good grasp of ABAP object development and HANA SQL
  • Integration Champion: Possess hands-on experience with interfaces, web services (APIs), and non-SAP application integrations.
  • Security Savvy: Understand SAP security concepts and authorization checks in ABAP objects
  • Project Management Powerhouse: Effectively manage projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams across various organizations
  • Communication Superstar: Excel in written and verbal communication, influencing stakeholders, and working effectively in a diverse, global team.
