AIX Administrator L3

This role has been designed as ‘’Onsite’ with an expectation that you will primarily work from an HPE partner/customer office.

Job Description:

HPE Operations is our innovative IT services organization. It provides the expertise to advise, integrate, and accelerate our customers’ outcomes from their digital transformation. What you’ll do:

System Administration:

  • Manage AIX servers, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize resource utilization.
  • Implement security measures and patches.

Troubleshooting and Incident Resolution:

  • Investigate and resolve complex issues related to AIX systems.
  • Collaborate with Level 1 and Level 2 support teams to address incidents promptly.
  • Analyse logs, traces, and system dumps to diagnose problems.

Performance Tuning:

  • Optimize AIX performance by tuning kernel parameters, memory, and I/O.
  • Identify and rectify performance bottlenecks.

Backup and Recovery:

  • Design and implement backup strategies.
  • Perform data backups and ensure data integrity.
  • Develop disaster recovery plans.

High Availability (HA) and Clustering:

  • Configure and manage HA solutions (e.g., PowerHA, HACMP).
  • Set up failover and load balancing for critical applications.

Capacity Planning:

  • Estimate resource requirements based on workload and growth projections.
  • Scale AIX infrastructure as needed.

Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:

  • Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Share knowledge with team members and contribute to the knowledge base

What you need to bring:

  • B.E. / B. Tech/BCA (On-Site), Relevant Certification (Preference).
  • 8+ Years relevant experience, ITIL Certified,
  • OEM Certified on Minimum One Technology
  • Technology: IBM AIX
  • Certification: Any AIX Certification
