HPE is looking for a Test Lead with experience in load and performance testing. The purpose of this role is to ensure the new processes and design of the organization’s go forward Systems landscape pass the performance testing criteria and meet the performance requirements defined by the business, achieves the business goals and enhances our IT capability.

Along with testing, this role serves as liaisons between Applications and Business Relationship Management (BRM) leaders and HPE IT Suppliers and partners to drive business alignment, performance attainment and issue resolution, and health of the vendor relationship. This role will assess the health of assigned application portfolio, manage SLA, and propose contract extensions/adjustments.

Management Level Definition:

Applies intermediate level of subject matter knowledge to solve a variety of common business issues. Works on problems of moderately complex scope. Acts as an informed team member providing analysis of information and limited project direction input. Exercises independent judgment within defined practices and procedures to determine appropriate action. Follows established guidelines and interprets policies. Evaluates unique circumstances and makes recommendations.

What you’ll do:

Responsibilities:

  • Creating Test Plan/ Test Strategy Documents for Operate/ Project requirements
  • Understand the business requirements and define the performance test scenarios, along with defining the SLA’s/ KPI’s and Work Load model.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with multiple functional SME’s/ IT and business team to define the test scope, define pass/fail criteria, define test data requirements and execution model.
  • Build, Maintain and Run the Performance tests as per the project timelines and requirements.
  • Build the Performance Test Automation using Tricentis Neoload.
  • Determine and prepare test automation suite (including test data requirements) considering multiple upstream and downstream systems to cover End to End and Cross functional scenarios.
  • Identify Test Environments for Performance Test in consultation with HPE Management
  • Test Data identification by coordinating with business and IT teams; Identify test data mining process and automate them.
  • Ensure Test Script works across multiple instances of the test environment; interoperate test scripts across environments, considering environment parameterization\minor changes.
  • Hand over developed test scripts to HPE IT for review and sign off.
  • Analyze the Performance Test Reports, Conduct Comparative Analysis of the results with SLA’s/ earlier releases/ and report the findings to the stakeholders.
  • Test Execution, Analysis and Reporting; Prepare test closure and completion report.
  • Raise incidents/defects in the test management tool, Re-test after defect fixes within same test cycle.
  • Update & manage knowledge management repositories.
  • Lead a medium team of performance testers to groom them and ensure standards and processes for automation is followed
  • Maintain health and hygiene of the automation inventory for future reference.
  • Ensure the automation space is maintained in terms of licensing, zero duplication, reduce redundancy.
  • Coordination with HPE SMEs for defect resolution
  • Map test cases and critical business flows or transactions for each application by coordinating with HPE Functional SMEs
  • Adhere to Test Management Tools and Standards and processes defined by HPE management for tracking, governing, and reporting purposes.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with Applications leaders and BRM’s within their area of responsibilities.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent knowledge on Software Testing Life Cycle
  • Complete understanding of the Defect Life Cycle
  • Excellent knowledge of the Tricentis Neoload Tool usage (Or Load Runner/ Jmeter)
  • Clear understanding of performance testing concepts
  • Extensive Hands on experience with at least one of the performance testing tools is mandatory.
  • 8 or more years of experience with SAP (S4 HANA) system and the basic transaction codes in SAP and has data mining capabilities for testing the existing capabilities.
  • Basic understanding of upstream and downstream systems and their connectivity with S4 system in terms of data processing and data flows.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be able to independently communicate and coordinate with the IT and business teams to ensure testing is done effectively.

What you need to bring:

Education and Experience Required:

  • Minimum 8 - 10 years of experience in SAP environment
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience with the performance test automation using Tricentis Neoload (most preferred) OR any other performance testing tool
  • ITIL certification would be good to have
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Ability to communicate with individuals of all levels (technical and non-technical) and ability to break the organization silos.
