Job Description:
HPE is seeking an IT Infrastructure Consultant
Do you have true passion for technology in the IT segment and want to develop you career in one of the leading IT infrastructure companies? Hewlett Packard Enterprise are now hiring an IT Infrastructure Consultant. In this role you will have the possibility to continue your development around Hardware and Software in the Datacenter and your relationships with customers.
On this role, you need an understanding and interest in Datacenter Infrastructure and the ability to work in an Agile environment collaborating with Sales, Solution Architects, and the customers on IT Operations. You will get to work in a collaborative environment that values your insight, encourages you to take on new responsibilities, promotes continuous learning, and rewards innovation.
This position requires passion for Infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code, Automation, Security and improving infrastructure agility. The candidate is required to have a working knowledge of datacenter hardware and software.
Responsibilities:
Install and maintain VMware based platforms and technologies
Install and maintain Linux-based platforms and technologies
Understand current technologies and trends related to Linux-based computing.
Use and administer automation tools such as Puppet, Ansible, Terraform.
Interact with both internal and external customers during all project phases, from planning to maintenance
Be mindful of customer needs and clearly communicate complex information
Demonstrate a high attention to detail, examining every aspect of the system
Your profile:
Experience of datacenter IT infrastructure such as Servers, Storage and Network.
2+ years of experience with Linux operating systems including installing, configuring, and troubleshooting.
Experience in Virtualization technologies such as KVM, VMWare ESXi.
Experience in automation tools such as Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, etc.
Experience with Linux administration.
Experience working in enterprise datacenter environments
Foundational knowledge of networking models and technologies including Ethernet, IP, VLANs, routing, bridging
Experience in container technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift is a plus
Experience in system monitoring tools and performance analysis tools is a plus
