Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced OpenShift Consultant, specializing in automation, to join our innovative team. In this position, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust OpenShift environments that support scalable and highly available cloud applications. This role demands deep technical knowledge of OpenShift, Kubernetes, and container orchestration, as well as strong automation skills, to enhance the efficiency and resilience of our cloud infrastructure.
As an OpenShift Engineer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to improve operational processes, implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies, and lead automation initiatives within container orchestration systems. You will also play a key role in implementing CI/CD pipelines, optimizing container management, and ensuring reliable service delivery across environments.
How you will make your mark:
- Design, deploy, and manage OpenShift clusters in hybrid and multi-cloud environments, ensuring high availability and scalability to meet organizational demands.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and Helm for consistent and efficient provisioning and configuration.
- Develop automation scripts to streamline cluster maintenance, deployment, and configuration, improving infrastructure management and reducing manual workloads.
- Manage and optimize networking policies, access controls, and resource utilization within OpenShift to enhance security, performance, and cost-efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to the performance, stability, and reliability of OpenShift environments, ensuring minimal downtime and rapid recovery.
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines tailored to containerized applications, integrating automation to support continuous deployment and smooth application updates.
- Collaborate with DevOps, development, and infrastructure teams to align OpenShift deployments with business objectives and support agile, collaborative workflows.
About you:
- Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, and related container technologies (e.g., Docker).
- Proven expertise in automation and Infrastructure as Code, with strong skills in Ansible, Terraform, Helm, and other relevant tools.
- Solid understanding of networking, security practices, and storage solutions within containerized and cloud environments.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar platforms.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with a focus on identifying root causes and implementing reliable solutions for complex issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, enabling efficient teamwork across development, operations, and infrastructure teams.
- Ability to work independently and within a team, meeting deadlines while effectively managing project priorities and stakeholder expectations.
