Seeking Firmware Experience Architect to work on HPE iLO (Integrated Lights Out) server management solution. HPE Integrated Lights Out Management is a flagship product in server industry leading embedded server manager for decades. It’s one of the most profitable HPE product raking millions through its licensing revenue. iLO supports the complete lifecycle of all HPE ProLiant servers, from initial deployment to ongoing management and service alerting. As part of the Hewlett Packard Enterprise Servers group, this team is responsible for designing and developing iLO manageability firmware.

What you'll do:

Management Level Definition:

Contributions have substantial technical impact on a significant HPE product/project, or a strategic/architectural direction. Go-to creator and innovator for critical business challenges and opportunities. Substantial, unique contributions provide long-lasting, recurring benefits like time-to-market improvements, cost reductions, or satisfying future and current unmet customer needs. Recognized internal authority on key technology areas. Provides technical leadership to the business for significant project/program work. Leads and connects others across functions to unite around a common goal. Actively mentors others and contributes to the HPE technical community.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops organization-wide architectures, strategies, and methodologies for software systems design and development across multiple platforms and organizations within the Global Business Unit.
  • Identifies and makes informed recommendations regarding new technologies, innovations, and outsourced development partner relationships for alignment with technology roadmap and business value; creates plans for integration and update into architecture.
  • Work continuously with Product Management and partners to refine, prioritize, and elaborate new requirements.
  • Elaborating complex requirements into effective solutions.
  • Reviews, evaluates, and influences designs and project activities for compliance with development guidelines and standards.
  • Contributes to domain expertise, business acumen, and experience to influence decisions of executive business leadership, outsourced development partners, and industry standards groups.
  • Brings creativity and innovation to the organization.
  • Provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced team members to set an example of software systems design and development innovation and excellence; helps mentor career growth.
  • Acts as an internal authority on software systems design, sought out for consulting across organizations or Business Units.
  • Contributes to the external technical community through whitepapers, patents, or other significant innovations.

What you need to bring:

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Electronics & Communication, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
  • Typically, 15+ years' experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the Server manageability domain in specific and Server Industry in General.
  • Design, Debug and Development on RTOS like Green hills Integrity, Embedded Linux.
  • Experience working with ARM processor or similar system controllers.
  • BMC / OpenBMC Experience.
  • Experience with Data Centre infrastructure setup and manageability domain
  • Strong understanding of hardware and software interactions and various protocols.
  • Prior experience in understanding and elaborating complex product requirements,
  • Ability to convert product requirements into small features/tasks with clear acceptance criteria and impact.
  • Ability to work in a team oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals, and negotiate and influence options at business unit and executive levels.
  • Experience architecting, designing, and developing innovative software system design tools and languages.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with good attention to details.
  • Experience in leading overall architecture of software systems for products and solutions.
  • Designing and integrating efficient and scalable software systems running on multiple platform types into overall architecture.
  • History of innovation with multiple patents or deployed solutions in the field of software design.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local languages, with an excellent ability to communicate nuanced concepts and influence in written and oral communication with a broad vocabulary.
