Description
The bookkeeping and Payroll Manager is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and monthly payroll cycle processes. This position is also responsible for processing ongoing transactions and providing support for general accounting tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the full bookkeeping cycle – including salary, AP, reconciliations, accruals.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure monthly timely reporting.
- Calculate and submit VAT reports on a monthly basis.
- Ensure cash balances remain above budget, optimizing bank deposits for maximum interest returns.
- Manage and ensure accurate salary calculations, including new joiners, leavers, compliance, and benefits administration.
- Handle bureaucratic and regulatory processes related to payroll and tax compliance.
- Provide employees with accurate responses to payroll-related inquiries.
- Manage employee travel-related transactions, ensuring smooth reimbursements and issue resolution.
- Support special financial projects and multi-task between ongoing and ad-hoc responsibilities.
- Continuously improve financial processes to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
Requirements
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in bookkeeping in Israel.
- Certified Bookkeeper.
- Payroll management Certification (advantage).
- Strong knowledge of Israeli tax laws, payroll regulations, and statutory compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (NetSuite or Oracle - must).
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Fluent in Hebrew and English.
