Are you a Senior Software Engineer with extensive programming experience?
Events is a new initiative within TravelPerk to reinvent how companies plan, book, and manage in-person events. We’re building an all-in-one platform for corporate events and group travel that removes the manual coordination and fragmented workflows event organizers face today.
After strong early traction and validation, we’re now doubling down on this opportunity. You’ll join at an exciting inflection point, helping us scale from a proven concept to a category-defining product, with full ownership over decisions that shape our roadmap and impact.
We operate as a small, autonomous team within TravelPerk, combining the agility and ownership of a startup with the global reach of a unicorn. You’ll join early and help define both the product and technology.

We’re looking for builders — engineers who thrive in small, autonomous teams and want to own product and technical decisions from idea to launch.
In Events, you’ll collaborate closely with design and product, define the architecture, and deliver delightful, high-impact experiences for event organizers and attendees.
You’ll work on:
- Product development in Python/FastApi and/or React for our event and group booking platform
- Designing and owning system architecture, integrations, and performance
- Connecting with third-party APIs (hotels, venues, calendars, etc.)
- Building fast, reliable user experiences that scale
- Setting engineering best practices, ensuring code quality and testing coverage
- Contributing to a culture of ownership, learning, and accountability
You’ll have the autonomy to make key product and technical decisions — while knowing you have the backing of TravelPerk’s world-class infrastructure and engineering culture.
Required skills and experience:
- "Product Engineering" mindset
- Pragmatism and obsession for simplicity, efficiency, and performance
- Extensive experience in similar roles building technically complex products in any web programming language
- An expert level at server-side, client-side or full stack development. Your final role within the team will depend on your skills and internal training will be provided
- Obsession for quality and testing
- Eager to learn new technologies and frameworks
- Strong communication skills
Bonus points for:
- Startup or early-stage experience — you’re comfortable operating with autonomy and accountability
- Experience in the travel or events industry
- DevOps experience with the AWS suite
- Experience working with high-performing, Agile development teams
- People who like to build stuff (we really like people who maintain/contribute to open source projects)
- Experience using AI coding tools during development process, such as copilot, cline or similar
- Experience building AI backed product features using AWS, GCP or OpenAI platform

Our Vision is for a world where TravelPerk is the platform for human connection in real life (IRL). We take an IRL-first approach to work, where our team works together in person 3 days a week. For roles in Customer Care, this can be up to 5 days per week in the office. As such, this role requires you to be within commuting distance of our hubs. We fundamentally believe in meeting in real life to improve connectivity, productivity, and creativity, ultimately making us a great workplace.
